PIT AND THE PENDULUM
In this unit, we were challenged with many problems, one of the problems was called “The Pit and the Pendulum” in this situation we needed to figure out whether this man would have enough time to escape from the swinging Pendulum. As a class, we had to learn many skills to have to ability to solve this problem. We started off by learning about curve fitting and how to label and understand curve fittings. Next, we learned how normal distribution which helped us understand “rare” and “ordinary” would be a possible or reasonable answers. Lastly, we learned about the standard deviation. After that, we were about to figure out if the man would have to escape, So we started off by graphing numbers and then finding the closest equation that would “meet all the points” then we were able to find an answer that would help us make our prediction for if he would have time to escape and how many seconds he would have left. Our final answer for this problem was 68.04 which we found out was close but not the exact answer which was 72.804 which would mean that he would have to escape and he would live. In conclusion, I feel that after learning all these skills over a period of time i was able to finally put together a puzzle of all the things we have learned and was able to solve this problem.

ALICE AND WONDERLAND
In this unit, the main focus was laws of exponents and logarithms. We started off with the basics of exponents and how they work together to create a more powerful number based on the number it had been squared by. Next, we got into more dept such as using equation and learning how to divide, multiply, add and subtract the exponents. Alice was a big part of this helping us get a better understanding of problems using equations such as if Alice had a base 2 cake and drank base 2 drink how tall would she be? We learned how to solve the problems presented, then were able to move on and solve problem base on our past knowledge. Next, we covered logarithms which were similar to exponents but very different at the same time. I feel like i was able to learned many different things and then was bale to put them together to be able to solve a virarty of different problems. .
